Korean-Japanese born in Oita, Japan.

He has been active as a painter all his life, and at the age of 74, is still actively producing works. 2002, he started his creative work in the south of France, and in December 2003, he opened a gallery in Yufuin, Oita Prefecture, Japan.

 

His works have been displayed at Maison Hermes in Ginza, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan, and others.

In 2007 and 2012, his sumi-e ink paintings were dedicated to Ise Shrine in Mie, Japan.

 

His powerful and beautiful works in sumi ink are his representative works, and he has exhibited widely in Japan and other Asian countries.

 

Many of his acrylic and oil paintings, which take nature as their subject matter, feature beautiful colors in contrast to his sumi-e ink paintings, and symbolize his delicate sense of color. The "Fujisan" series of paintings, featuring Japan's iconic Mt. Fuji, is a precious gem that carefully depicts the natural beauty of Japan, and is popular among collectors living in overseas countries.
